The main objectives of the assignment are to promote after market capabilities, assure that EvapTech is responsive to requests for after market products and services, and coordinate resources in developing creative and responsive solutions to customer requests and needs with an emphasis on the power generation and industrial processes markets. Ken’s main responsibilities include generating and supporting sales activity working cooperatively with and supporting EvapTech’s Sales Representatives. His responsibilities also include product and application training and education for customers, conducting inspections and interviews to define customer requirements, and generating highly competitive and responsive proposals involving after market applications. Other responsibilities include identifying product development needs, providing product feedback, and supporting customer complaints and warranty claims. Extensive application and sales engineering and management experience for the cooling tower industry acquired since 1981 involving a variety of positions as follows: - 2011 to Present: EvapTech, Inc. - Director of Aftermarket Services
- 2008 to 2011: SPIG USA, Inc. - Managing Director - Established United States Corporation; responsible for all aspects of newly formed cooling tower company. Developed company standards for cooling towers and air cooled condenser products to be marketed in the US. Created OEM standard price levels, negotiated contracts, established sales force and provided technical and commercial support for a wide range of plant and engineering personnel. A liaison for parent company SPIG S.p.A. to manage and develop a marketing success in the US and Canada.
- 2005 to 2008: AmerTech, Inc. / AmerTech Services, General Manager - Responsible for principal commodity sales leads encompassing cooling towers, baghouses, chimneys, condensers, deaerators, expansion joints, gas turbines, scrubbers, turbine parts, feedwater heaters, dampers and boiler tubes, Managed a full service cooling tower aftermarket company; providing full estimate proposals and project execution.
- 2003 to 2005: Midwest Towers, Inc., Eastern Regional Sales Manager - Responsible for sales of new cooling towers, repairs, upgrades, spare parts and inspection services. Developed sales strategies to support customer cooling tower requirements; tower capacity, site requirements, budget constraints, safety plans and budget prices.
- 1987 to 2003: Hamon Cooling Towers, Manager Parts & Services / Manager Business Development - Responsible for developing and creating department responsibilities by implementing marketing studies while maintaining and monitoring cost control, field labor, industry standards and material indices. Presented customers with thermal feasibility studies ranging from low cost product to energy efficient operation.
- 1986 to 1988: American Tower Plastics, Sales / Application Engineer - Developed specifications and design criteria for cooling tower fill media and water treatment trickling filter products. Developed and marketed new FRP packaged cooling tower for HVAC market.
