CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Robert’s primary role is to manage sales and marketing functions involving new towers, after market services, and parts/components in the western region of the US. The main objectives of the assignment are to promote the capabilities of EvapTech, assure that EvapTech is responsive to customer and representative requests, and coordinate the company’s proposed solutions.

Robert’s main responsibilities include generating and supporting sales activity in the assigned region. His responsibilities also include product and application training and education for customers and EvapTech sales representatives, conducting inspections and interviews to define customer requirements, and generating responsive proposals.

Other responsibilities include product development feedback and diagnosis of customer complaints and warranty claims.

Extensive cooling tower industry and HVAC experience acquired since 1978 involving a variety of assignments with three cooling tower manufacturers as follows:

  • 2006 to Present: EvapTech, Business Development Manager
  • 2003 to 2006:  American Cooling Tower Company, General Manager – Responsible for establishing a new tower division of a national cooling tower service company.  Managed sales, project management, and construction activities for all new tower products.
  • 1999 to 2003:   Marley Cooling Tower Company, Key Account Manager/West Coast – Accountable for key account sales of cooling tower products and services in thirteen Western states for the industry’s largest manufacture of cooling tower products.  Also managed the independent representative network for large industrial and power applications in the same regional area.
  • 1991 to 1999:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Senior Field Sales Engineer – Accountable for bookings in excess of $50 million in new and replacement cooling towers and aftermarket services for domestic and export business serving the industrial, power, and HVAC markets. Worked closely with specifying engineers/contractors, plant owners, plant developers, and overseas representatives/licensees. 
  • 1986 to 1991:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, District Sales Manager – Accountable for the sale of all new cooling tower product and aftermarket activities in a four state territory.
  • 1978 to 1986:  Ceramic Cooling Tower Company, Project Engineer/Market Manager – Accountable for field sales support, proposal generation, contract review, and project definition of concrete field erected cooling tower products. Supported factory direct and representative sales organizations.
  • 1971 to 1978: Ceramic Cooling Tower Company, Project Estimator/Manager – Responsible for estimating and managing project construction activities for a design/build contractor.
