CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Don’s primary role is to manage sales and marketing functions involving new towers, after market services, and parts/components within an assigned region. The main objectives of the assignment are to promote the capabilities of EvapTech, assure that EvapTech is responsive to customer and representative requests, and coordinate the company’s proposed solutions.

Don’s main responsibilities include generating and supporting sales activity in the assigned region. His responsibilities also include product and application training and education for customers and EvapTech sales representatives, conducting inspections and interviews to define customer requirements, and generating responsive proposals.

Other responsibilities include product development feedback and diagnosis of customer complaints and warranty claims.

Extensive cooling tower industry and HVAC experience acquired since 1986 involving a variety of assignments with cooling tower manufacturers as follows:

  • 2005 to Present: EvapTech, Business Development Manager
  • 2000 to 2004:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Western Regional Manager – Accountable for expanding the new tower offering for a global cooling tower manufacturer. Responsible for management of 11 independent representative organizations covering 13 western states and the management of the Los Angeles regional office.

  • 1999 to 2000:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, District Manager – Accountable for sales of all cooling tower products and services in three western states; supervised Los Angeles based staff and district sales representatives.

  • 1995 to 1999:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Power Products Manager – Accountable for bookings in excess of $50 million in new and replacement cooling towers for domestic and export business providing power generation cooling towers. Extensive work with specifying engineers/contractors, generation plant owners, plant developers, and oversees representatives/licensees.

  • 1991 to 1995:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Sales Engineer – Accountable for the sale of all product and aftermarket activities in an assigned territory.

  • 1986 to 1991:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Project Engineer – Accountable for proposal generation, contract review, project definition and execution for major equipment sales of power and industrial field erected cooling tower products. Supported factory direct and representative sales organizations.
