CURRENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Alan’s primary role is to manage and coordinate all budget and firm proposals requiring an EvapTech response.  The main objective of this assignment is to assure EvapTech’s timely and appropriate response to all types of quotation requests.

Other objectives include helping to develop proposal strategies, sales support for Business Development Managers, review and negotiate technical and commercial items, and maintain the quotation database.

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Extensive experience in the cooling tower and related industries acquired since 1971 involving a variety of assignments with cooling tower manufacturers and other contractors as follows:

  • 2006 to Present: EvapTech, Senior Proposal Manager
  • 2003 to 2005:  Columbian TecTank, Director of Construction and Field Service – Accountable for the field construction activities for an engineered to order industrial product.  These activities included locating, training and contracting with qualified subcontractors.  Also accountable for resolving all of the field service issues.
  • 1998 to 2000:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Vice President Business Systems – Accountable for the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning software system at a major cooling tower manufacturing company.  Activities also included redesigning process to better serve their customers.
  • 1996 to 1998:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Vice President Field Erected Products – Accountable for the Profit and Loss of the large Field Erected Cooling Tower Products.  Accountable for the product design, order processing, and contract administration of large Field Erected Cooling Towers.
  • 1992 to 1996:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Manager Industrial Market Group – Accountable for developing marketing plans, analyzing market segments, developing competitive intelligence, preparing proposals and providing sales support to company’s field sales team to secure cooling tower business in the industrial market.
  • 1984 to 1992:  Marley Cooling Tower Company, Manager Major Equipment Sales – Accountable for the preparation of all proposals and the project management of all orders for the field erected cooling towers in all markets.
