Two new environmental test chambers totaling 12,100 square feet are being added to the existing 40,000 square feet four laboratory facility, while another 11,500 square feet area is being converted to provide more space for equipment testing and a new water treatment laboratory. The entire expansion project translates into more than 50% of additional R&D testing capacity. The new test chambers with 41 million BTU/hr of total boiler output will have the capacity to test and certify full-scale cooling equipment and individual components.

One test chamber will house EvapTech’s counterflow and crossflow test cells which serve the purpose of testing and developing individual cooling tower components such as film and splash fills, spray nozzles, and drift eliminators under the broadest conditions of operation.
