EvapTech, Inc. Producing Fiberglass Components

February 5, 2008 – Joe Whalen, Vice President Operations, announced that EvapTech is in full production manufacturing pultruded fiberglass components for its cooling tower products. The plant has been operating continuously utilizing three shifts to satisfy EvapTech’s customer backlog.

EvapTech has established a manufacturing facility along the I-70 corridor in Southern Illinois near Greenup. The plant consists of 83,000 square foot of manufacturing space under roof which is situated on six-plus acres in Newton, Illinois. The plant utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to produce fabricated fiberglass components in accordance with Cooling Technology Institute Standards. On-site chemical and physical testing laboratories, coupled with 3rd party independent testing, assure component quality.

The Newton Plant is currently dedicated to the manufacture of a variety of fire-retardant pultruded fiberglass components, all used in the product and service solutions for cooling equipment offered by EvapTech. EvapTech also manufactures a variety of film fill, splash fill, drift eliminator, and nozzle products for cooling equipment applications at other locations including its PVC products plants in North Carolina and Arizona.

EvapTech's fiberglass capabilities set it apart from others serving the cooling tower industry. By designing, manufacturing, and installing the critical components required in cooling equipment, EvapTech controls the performance, quality, schedule, and cost of its products to the satisfaction of its customers.
